Abstract
The present invention provides personal care compositions comprising a carrier and a mixture of essential oil components having specific levels of eucalyptol, terpene materials and auxiliary fragrance materials. The compositions herein gentle to skin and have a fragrance and activity similar if the composition were made using the pure extracted essential oil.
Claims20
A personal care composition comprising:
- a. from about 0.25% to about 6.65% of eucalyptol;
- b. from about 0.61% to about 2.5% of a terpene material;
- and
- c. a hypoallergenic amount of linalool wherein the ratio of linalool to terpene material is from about 1:10 to about 1:10,000;
- wherein said composition is adapted for topical administration to babies and infants.
The method according to claim 9 wherein the personal care composition is gentle to a baby or infant's skin.
The method according to claim 12 wherein the personal care composition is gentle to a baby or infant's skin.
A personal care composition comprising:
- a. from about 0.25% to about 6.65% of eucalyptol;
- b. from about 0.61% to about 2.5% of a terpene material;
- and
- c. a hypoallergenic amount, limonene wherein the ratio of limonene to terpene material is from about 1:10 to about 1:10,000;
- wherein said composition is adapted for topical administration to babies and infants.
