Abstract
A device for preparing tea using a tea bag which dunks the bag for a selected amount of time, then removes the bag from the tea to end the infusion process. The device allows for a more convenient way to brew healthier and more precisely made tea.
Claims20
A device for the preparation of an infusion beverage, comprising:
- a dunking mechanism (e.g. a dunking arm or a dunking pulley) which moves a porous vessel (e.g. a tea bag), containing a portion of the infusing substance (e.g. tea), into and out of a hot liquid, (e.g. water)
- a dunking actuator which activates the dunking mechanism for a certain amount of time, then deactivates the dunking mechanism with the vessel out of the hot liquid to end the infusion process
A method for the preparation of an infusion beverage, comprising:
- a method to secure a porous vessel (e.g. a tea bag) containing a portion of the infusing substance (e.g. tea) to a device.
- a method to select a duration of time to infuse the substance into a hot liquid (e.g. water)
- a method for moving the vessel into and out of the liquid for the selected duration
