Actuating assembly for moving an operative member of a glassware forming machine

An actuating assembly for moving an operative member of a glassware forming machine, the assembly comprising a connecting frame adapted to be fixed to a supporting structure of the machine;

• a shaft for supporting the operative member and coupled to the connecting frame so as to translate and rotate about a fixed axis thereof;
• a pneumatic jack for displacing said shaft along said axis and comprising a rod connected to said shaft and a piston;
• a cam and tappet device for rotating the shaft in opposite directions about said axis;
• and hydraulic means for stabilizing the motion of said supporting shaft;
• characterized in that said rod comprises at least one hollow portion, and in that said stabilizing hydraulic means are housed in said hollow portion.
