## Abstract

A simulation apparatus includes a status-transition-frequency input, a job status unit, a job-status simulating unit, an error-occurrence-rate input unit, and a device alert unit. The status-transition-frequency input unit receives an input of a status transition frequency of a job executable by a device. The job status unit simulates a status transition of the job based on the status transition frequency. The job-status simulating unit makes a transition of a status of the job based on the status transition by the job status unit as a simulation. The error-occurrence-rate input unit receives an input of an error occurrence rate of the job. The device alert unit makes a transition of a status of the device based on the error occurrence rate as a simulation.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A simulation apparatus, comprising:
a status-transition-frequency input unit that receives an input of a status transition frequency of a job executable by a device;
a job status unit that simulates a status transition of the job based on the status transition frequency;
a job-status simulating unit that makes a transition of a status of the job based on the status transition by the job status unit as a simulation;
an error-occurrence-rate input unit that receives an input of an error occurrence rate of the job; and
a device alert unit that makes a transition of a status of the device based on the error occurrence rate as a simulation.

### Claim 2

A simulation system, comprising:
a simulation apparatus connected to a network; and
a client apparatus connected to the network; wherein
the simulation apparatus includes
a network communication unit that receives an execution request of a job from the client apparatus,
a status-transition-frequency input unit that receives an input of a status transition frequency of a job executable by a device,
a job status unit that simulates a status transition of the job based on the status transition frequency,
a job-status simulating unit that makes a transition of a status of the job based on the status transition by the job status unit as a simulation,
an error-occurrence-rate input unit that receives an input of an error occurrence rate of the job, and
a device alert unit that makes a transition of a status of the device based on the error occurrence rate as a simulation; and
the client apparatus includes:
a job-execution-request input unit that receives an input of an execution request of a job, and
a job-execution-request transmitting unit that transmits the execution request of the job to the simulation apparatus.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The simulation system according to claim 2, wherein the simulation apparatus further includes:
a job-event-transition-status generating unit that generates a job-event transition status where a transition of the status of the job has been made by the job-status simulating unit as a simulation;
a device-event-transition-status generating unit that generates a device-event transition status where a transition of the status of the device has been made by the device alert unit as a simulation; and
an eventing server unit that transmits the job-event transition status and the device-event transition status as event transition information to the client apparatus.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The simulation system according to claim 3, wherein the client apparatus further includes:
a service unit that receives the event transition information; and
a status monitor unit that displays the event transition information.

### Claim 5 (depends on 3)

The simulation system according to claim 3, wherein:
the client apparatus further includes a job-execution-request-data storing unit that stores the execution request of the job; and
the simulation apparatus further includes an event-transition-information-data storing unit that stores the event transition information.

### Claim 6

A simulation method, comprising:
receiving an input of a status transition frequency of a job executable by a device;
simulating a status transition of the job based on the status transition frequency;
making a transition of a status of the job based on the status transition by the job status unit as a simulation;
receiving an input of an error occurrence rate of the job; and
making a transition of a status of the device based on the error occurrence rate as a simulation.
