Generation of harq-ack information and power control of harq-ack signals in tdd systems with downlink of carrier aggregation

A user equipment (UE) apparatus for wireless communication, the apparatus comprising:

• a transceiver configured to receive at least one transport block (TB) within a bundling window in a cell among configured cells and to transmit acknowledgement bits on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH);
• and
• a controller configured to generate the acknowledgement bits in response to the received at least one TB based on a number of the configured cells and a transmission mode of each of the configured cells,
• wherein the generated acknowledgement bits comprise a number of bits corresponding to a size of the bundling window for a first configured cell having a transmission mode conveying a maximum of one TB and a number of bits corresponding to twice a size of the bundling window for a second configured cell having a transmission mode conveying a maximum of two TBs.

A method for wireless communication, the method comprising:

• transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), at least one transport block (TB) within a bundling window in a cell among configured cells;
• and
• receiving acknowledgement bits on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH),
• wherein the received acknowledgement bits are generated in response to the transmitted at least one TB based on a number of the configured cells and a transmission mode of each of the configured cells for the UE, and
• wherein the generated acknowledgement bits comprise a number of bits corresponding to a size of the bundling window for a first configured cell having a transmission mode conveying a maximum of one TB and a number of bits corresponding to twice a size of the bundling window for a second configured cell having a transmission mode conveying a maximum of two TBs.
