Abstract
Methods, systems, and computer readable media for determining policy information associated with an emergency call are disclosed. According to one method, the method occurs at a policy and charging rules function (PCRF) separate from an emergency services routing proxy (ESRP). The method includes receiving, from the ESRP, a request for one or more policy rules regarding an emergency call, wherein the request includes an intended destination of the emergency call and determining, using the intended destination, one or more policy rules.

A method for determining policy information associated with an emergency call, the method comprising:
- at a policy and charging rules function (PCRF) separate from an emergency services routing proxy (ESRP), wherein the PCRF includes at least one processor and a memory:
- receiving, from the ESRP, a request for one or more policy rules regarding an emergency call, wherein the request includes an intended destination of the emergency call;
- and
- determining, using the intended destination, one or more policy rules.
A system for determining policy information associated with an emergency call, the system comprising:
- a policy and charging rules function (PCRF) separate from an emergency services routing proxy (ESRP), the PCRF comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- a memory, wherein the PCRF is configured to receiving, from the ESRP, a request for one or more policy rules regarding an emergency call, wherein the request includes an intended destination of the emergency call and determining, using the intended destination, one or more policy rules.
A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising computer executable instructions embodied in the computer readable medium that when executed by a processor of a computer control the computer to perform steps comprising:
- at a policy and charging rules function (PCRF) separate from an emergency services routing proxy (ESRP):
- receiving, from the ESRP, a request for one or more policy rules regarding an emergency call, wherein the request includes an intended destination of the emergency call;
- and
- determining, using the intended destination, one or more policy rules.
