## Abstract

A printer includes a platen roller, a print head that performs printing on a recording sheet, and a recording sheet guide provided on the same side as the platen roller relative to the recording sheet. Multiple projections are provided on a surface of the recording sheet guide. The projections are elongated in substantially the same direction as a conveyance direction of the recording sheet.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A printer, comprising:
a platen roller;
a print head that performs printing on a recording sheet; and
a recording sheet guide provided on a same side as the platen roller relative to the recording sheet,
wherein a plurality of projections is provided on a surface of the recording sheet guide, and
wherein the projections are elongated in substantially a same direction as a conveyance direction of the recording sheet.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The printer as claimed in claim 1, wherein a pitch of the projections is greater than or equal to 1 mm and less than or equal to 10 mm.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The printer as claimed in claim 1, wherein a width of an end portion of each of the projections in a direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction of the recording sheet is greater than or equal to 0.1 mm and less than or equal to 5 mm.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The printer as claimed in claim 1, wherein a ratio of a pitch of the projection to a width of an end portion of each of the projections in a direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction of the recording sheet is greater than or equal to 3 and less than or equal to 20.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The printer as claimed in claim 1, wherein the recording sheet guide is provided on at least either of a downstream side or an upstream side of the print head and the platen roller in the conveyance direction of the recording sheet.
