Pre-Approval Processing

A method, comprising:

• receiving, by a negotiable instrument pre-processing computing device having a processor, an image of a portion of a negotiable instrument, the portion including a QR code and a convenience area;
• determining, by the computing device, information associated with the negotiable instrument based on data from the QR code;
• determining, by the computing device, an amount of the negotiable instrument based on the amount indicated in the convenience area;
• pre-processing, by the computing device, the information associated with the negotiable instrument based on data from the QR code and the determined amount to identify options to provide for available processing of the negotiable instrument;
• and
• providing, by the computing device, the plurality of options for selection.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions stored thereon that, when executed, cause at least one computing device to:

• receive an image of a portion of a negotiable instrument, the portion including a QR code and a convenience area;
• determine information associated with the negotiable instrument based on data from the QR code;
• determine an amount of the negotiable instrument based on the amount indicated in the convenience area;
• pre-process the information associated with the negotiable instrument based on data from the QR code and the determined amount to identify options to provide for available processing of the negotiable instrument;
• and
• provide the plurality of options for selection.
