Abstract
A pipe cutting tool having: a plurality of rollers; a clamping member moveable between an open position in which a pipe is insertable between the plurality of rollers and a clamping position in which the pipe is secured between the rollers; a cutting apparatus having first, second, and third cutting members configured to optionally sequentially engage the pipe when positioned between the plurality of rollers; a drive motor drivingly connected to at least one of the rollers; and an actuator operatively connected to the drive motor.
Claims26
An apparatus for cutting pipe, the apparatus comprising:
- (a) a base comprising a pipe support having at least one set of lower rollers;
- (b) an upper frame supporting a first cutting apparatus, a second cutting apparatus, and at least one upper roller, the upper frame being moveable relative to the base between an open position in which a pipe may be inserted between the at least one set of lower rollers and the at least one upper roller, and a clamping position in which the inserted pipe is in contact with the at least one set of lower rollers and the at least one upper roller;
- (c) the first and second cutting apparatus being moveable between a first cutting position in which the first cutting apparatus is positioned to cut a pipe having a first diameter, and a second cutting position in which the second cutting apparatus is positioned to cut a pipe having a second diameter that is smaller than the first diameter;
- (d) a drive motor drivingly connected to at least one roller in the at least one set of lower rollers;
- and,
- (e) an actuator operatively connected to the drive motor.
An apparatus for cutting a pipe, the apparatus comprising:
- (a) a base having first and second base sides, and comprising a pipe support having at least one set of lower rollers;
- (b) an upper frame having first and second upper frame sides, the upper frame supporting a cutting apparatus and at least one upper roller, wherein the upper frame is repositionable relative to the base between a first orientation in which first upper frame side is located closer to the first base side than the second base side, and a second orientation in which the second upper frame side is located closer to the first base side than the second base side, whereby a first and a second end of the pipe can be cut without rotating the pipe, relative to the base, about an axis transverse to a longitudinal axis of the pipe;
- (c) a drive motor drivingly connected to at least one roller in the at least one set of lower rollers;
- and,
- (d) an actuator operatively connected to the drive motor.
