Abstract
A central bed having a single longitudinal bed frame and a bed section mounted to the frame for rotation about a substantially vertical axis between a home position aligned with the bed frame and an away position and with a lower leg bed section that is movable away from the central bed section to enable rotation of the central bed section.
Claims6
A bed, comprising:
- a bed frame;
- a bed section mounted to the frame for rotation about a substantially vertical axis between a home position aligned with said bed frame and an away position.
A bed, comprising:
- a bed frame with headboard and footboard support members,
- a central frame member having a length and a width and connected to and extending between the headboard and footboard support members, the length of the central frame member between headboard and footboard support members being greater than 20 times its width;
- a first bed frame member supportively connected to the central frame member;
- a second bed frame member connected to the central frame member.
A bed having a bed frame and a bed section mounted for rotation to said bed frame about a rotation axis, the bed section having a front edge, a rear edge, and opposing left and right side edges, and wherein the front, left and right side edges are each substantially the same distance from the rotation axis.
A bed having a bed frame, a first bed section rotatably mounted to said bed frame and a second bed section mounted to said bed from, the second bed section being a foot section;
- section connection means for releasably connecting the foot section with the first bed section.
A bed having a bed frame, a seat section rotatably mounted to said bed frame to rotate between a home position and an away position;
- a back section pivotally mounted to the seat section to pivot between a horizontal recumbent position and an inclined position;
- inter-lock means for restricting rotation of the seat section in relation to the position of the back section.
A handle system, comprising:
- a seat having a front housing with opposing left and right ends;
- at least one handle assembly having a riser with upper and lower ends;
- a slider pivotally connected to the lower end;
- and
- a handle rigidly connected to the upper end, said at least one handle assembly having stowed and erected positions, the stowed position including the slider and riser held substantially within the front housing between the left and right ends, and the erected position including the slider being held substantially within the front housing between the left and right ends and the riser extending generally orthogonally and upwardly from its slider and the front housing;
- handle lock means for releasably locking said at least one handle assembly in the erected position.
