Method, apparatus, and computer program product for implementing a variable content movable control

An apparatus comprising at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, direct the apparatus at least to:

• cause display of a continuous canvas that moves relative to a movement of a movable control;
• receive an indication that the movable control is located at a second position along a defined path on a touch screen display, wherein a first position, the second position, and at least a third position are defined along the defined path such that the movable control being located at the first position causes a first portion of the continuous canvas to be displayed and the movable control being located at the third position causes a transition from a locked mode to an unlocked mode;
• and
• in response to at least receiving the indication that the movable control is located at the second position, cause movement of the continuous canvas such that a second portion of the continuous canvas is displayed, wherein the first and second portions of the continuous canvas are caused to be presented prior to the transition from the locked mode to the unlocked mode.

A computer program product comprising a memory having program code stored thereon, the program code configured to direct an apparatus to:

• cause display of a continuous canvas that moves relative to a movement of a movable control;
• receive an indication that the movable control is located at a second position along a defined path on a touch screen display, wherein a first position, the second position, and at least a third position are defined along the defined path such that the movable control being located at the first position causes a first portion of the continuous canvas to be displayed and the movable control being located at the third position causes a transition from a locked mode to an unlocked mode;
• and
• in response to at least receiving the indication that the movable control is located at the second position, cause movement of the continuous canvas such that a second portion of the continuous canvas is displayed, wherein the first and second portions of the continuous canvas are caused to be presented prior to the transition from the locked mode to the unlocked mode.
