Abstract
Provided are methods comprising receiving a query for information from the database, determining particular data element types and data element values that are the subject of the query, instantiating a query data structure containing the data element types and the data element values that are the subject of the query, identifying records within the database that contain one or more data element types and/or data element values that are included in the query data structure, and instantiating a results data structure comprising information relating to the identified records.

- determine first information relating to first data to be retrieved from the final data structure;
- determine second information relating to second data to be retrieved from a source external to the final data structure, wherein the second information comprises identifying information relating to the location and specification of the second data;
- and
- provide search results relevant to a search query based on the first information and the second information.
A method, comprising:
- receiving a query for information from a database;
- identifying data element types relevant to the query and data element values relevant to the query;

- and
- generating a current state structure for the captured one or more data states.
A method, comprising:
- receiving a query for information from a database;
- identifying data element types relevant to the query and data element values relevant to the query;

- selectively capturing the displayed second data states along with the first data states that are the indicia of the current state;
- and
- modifying the displayed data states.
A method for analyzing information within a database that comprises one or more database structures which collectively contain a plurality of records, with each record having at least two data element types, and with at least one of the data element types having a different data element value from the data element value for the corresponding data element type in at least one other record in the database;
- the method characterized by the steps of:
- reading the plurality of records;
- instantiating an initial data structure for each unique data element type within the plurality of records;
- creating an entry in the initial data structure for each data element type for each unique data element value within that data element type;
- selecting one or more database structures within the database;
- instantiating a final data structure for the selected database structures in which the data element value for each data element type reflects the entry made in the initial data structures for that data element value;
- receiving a query for information from the database;
- determining first information comprising particular data element types and data element values that are the subject of the query;
- determining second information relating to data to be fetched from a source external to the final data structure, wherein the second information comprises identifying information relating to the location and specification of the data to be fetched;
- instantiating a query data structure containing the first information;
- appending the second information to the query data structure;
- identifying the records within the database that contain one or more database element types and/or database element values that are included in the query data structure;
