Abstract
In an electric vehicle, a torque to rotate a drive wheel is generated by a motor. An accelerator grip is operated by a rider in order to adjust the torque of the motor. An operation amount of the accelerator grip is detected by an accelerator sensor. Further, a brake lever is operated by the rider in order to brake a main body. A controller is programmed to control the motor such that the torque of the motor gradually decreases when the brake lever is switched from a non-operation state to an operation state with the torque being generated by the motor.

An electric vehicle comprising:
- a main body including a drive wheel;
- a motor configured to generate a torque to rotate the drive wheel;
- an accelerator device configured to be operated by a rider in order to adjust the torque of the motor;
- an operation amount detector configured to detect an operation amount of the accelerator device;
- a braking device configured to be operated by the rider in order to brake the main body;
- and
- a controller programmed to control the motor based on the operation amount detected by the operation amount detector and the operation of the braking device by the rider;
- wherein
- the controller is programmed to control the motor such that the torque of the motor gradually decreases when the braking device switches from a non-operation state to an operation state while the torque is being generated by the motor.
An electric vehicle comprising:
- a main body including a drive wheel;
- a motor configured to generate a torque to rotate the drive wheel;
- an accelerator device configured to be operated by a rider in order to adjust the torque of the motor;
- an operation amount detector configured to detect an operation amount of the accelerator device;
- a braking device configured to be operated by the rider in order to brake the main body;
- and
- a controller programmed to control the motor based on an operation amount of the accelerator device and the braking device by the rider;
- wherein
- the controller is programmed to control the motor such that the torque of the motor gradually increases when the braking device switches from an operation state to a non-operation state while the accelerator device is being operated.
