Abstract
A wound dressing includes an absorbent core, a facing layer and a backing layer. The absorbent core is located between the facing layer and the backing layer. The wound dressing further includes an adhesive configured to attach the wound dressing to a patient's skin wherein the facing layer faces the skin.

A wound dressing comprising:
- an absorbent core;
- a facing layer;
- and
- a backing layer;
- wherein the absorbent core is located between the facing layer and the backing layer, wherein the wound dressing further comprises an adhesive configured to attach the wound dressing to a patient's skin wherein the facing layer faces the skin.

A method of manufacturing a wound dressing comprising:
- providing an absorbent core;
- providing a facing layer;
- providing a backing layer;
- locating the absorbent core between the facing layer and the backing layer;
- and
- applying an adhesive to the wound dressing, the adhesive configured to attach the wound dressing to a patient's skin wherein the facing layer faces the skin.
