Abstract
A catheter hub includes a distal assembly including a distal hub member adapted to be fixedly attached to an outer catheter and a proximal assembly including a proximal hub member adapted to be fixedly attached to an inner catheter disposed through the outer catheter. An elongate member connects the proximal and distal assemblies such that the proximal and distal assemblies can translate longitudinally relative to one another.
Claims13
A catheter hub, comprising:
- a distal assembly including a distal hub member adapted to be fixedly attached to an outer catheter;
- a proximal assembly including a proximal hub member adapted to be fixedly attached to an inner catheter disposed through the outer catheter;
- and
- an elongate member connecting the proximal and distal assemblies such that the proximal and distal assemblies are capable of longitudinal translation relative to one another, wherein the distal assembly comprises lateral wings adapted to accommodate a finger on a distal side of each of the lateral wings and the proximal assembly comprises a longitudinally centered depression on a proximal side thereof adapted to accommodate a thumb such that the distal and proximal assembly is adapted to be ergonomically brought together with three fingers.

A catheter hub, comprising:
- a distal hub member adapted to be fixedly attached to an outer catheter;
- a proximal hub member adapted to be fixedly attached to an inner catheter disposed through the outer catheter;
- a proximal member;
- a distal member;
- and
- an elongate member connecting the proximal and distal members, wherein at least one of the proximal and distal members is slidably attached to the elongate member;
- wherein the distal member is attached to the distal hub member and the proximal member is attached to the proximal hub member, wherein the at least one of the proximal and distal members includes a first aperture disposed therethrough to accommodate the elongate member and a second aperture disposed therethrough adapted to accommodate a fastener to fixedly attach the at least one of the proximal and distal members to the elongate member

A catheter hub, comprising:
- a distal hub member adapted to be fixedly attached to an outer catheter;
- a proximal hub member adapted to be fixedly attached to an inner catheter disposed through the outer catheter;
- and
- a telescoping member connecting the proximal and distal hub members;
- wherein the proximal hub member connects to the distal hub member when the telescoping member is in a longitudinally collapsed state.
