Abstract
The present disclosure is directed in part to methods of treating fibrosis, e.g., hepatic fibrosis and/or intestinal fibrosis, comprising administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of a disclosed compound.
Claims17
A method for preventing or treating fibrosis, comprising administering to a patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of compound represented by formula A:
- R10 is selected from the group consisting of H and C1-C6alkyl;
- R11 is selected from the group consisting of H, C1-C6alkyl, and —C(O)—C1-C6alkyl;
- R5 is H or C1-C6alkyl;
- and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
A method of preventing or treating fibrosis, comprising administering to a patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a compound selected from the group consisting of:
- compound 20, compound 21, 2-methoxy-3-(4′-aminophenyl) propionic acid;
- 2-ethoxy-3-(4′-aminophenyl) propionic acid (compound 39);
- 6-amino-2,2-dimethyl-4H-benzo[1,3]dioxin-4-one;
- 5-amino-N-hydroxy-2-methoxybenzamide;
- and 5-amino-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-7-carboxylic acid and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and stereoisomers thereof.
A method of preventing or treating hepatic fibrosis, comprising administering to a patient in need thereof, a pharmaceutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical preparation comprising a PPARy agent selected from the group consisting of:
- compound 20, compound 21, 2-methoxy-3-(4′-aminophenyl) propionic acid;
- 2-ethoxy-3-(4′-aminophenyl) propionic acid;
- (6-amino-2,2-dimethyl-4H-benzo[1,3]dioxin-4-one;
- 5-amino-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-7-carboxylic acid, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and stereoisomers thereof.
The method of any one of claims 11-17, wherein the pharmaceutical preparation comprises 2-methoxy-3-(4′-aminophenyl) propionic acid.
