Nonlinear optical device manufactured with 4h silicon carbide crystal

A tunable mid-infrared laser, comprising:

• a first pumping light source (21) and a second pumping light source (22) which emit light beams at different frequencies, respectively;
• and
• a 4H silicon carbide crystal (211),
• wherein the light beam emitted from the first pumping light source (21) and the light beam emitted from the second pumping light source (22) are incident onto the 4H silicon carbide crystal for difference frequency to emit mid-infrared light.

An optical parametric amplifier device, comprising:

• a third pumping light source (41);
• a wide-band signal light laser (42);
• and
• a 4H silicon carbide crystal (45),
• wherein a light beam emitted from the third pumping light source (41) and a signal light beam emitted from the wide-band signal light laser (42) are incident onto the 4H silicon carbide crystal (45) for optical parametric amplification to emit mid-infrared light.

A wide-band tunable mid-infrared laser, comprising:

• a fourth pumping light source (51), which is a wide-band pulse laser;
• and
• a 4H silicon carbide crystal (55),
• wherein a relatively high frequency component and a relatively low frequency component of pumping light (52) emitted from the fourth pumping light source (51) are subjected to a difference frequency operation in the 4H silicon carbide crystal (55), and then pass through a light filter (56) to emit wide-band mid-infrared laser light.
