Provided herein are techniques for distributing software. An embodiment operates by receiving a software product request including a unique identification information, verifying the unique identification information, and distributing a software product associated with the unique identification information in response to the request.

A computer implemented method for distributing software, comprising:
- receiving, by at least one processor, a software product and associated unique identification information from a software vendor;
- receiving a request for the software product including the unique identification information from a client system;
- verifying the unique identification information;
- and
- distributing the software product in response to the request.
