Abstract
Provided is a programmable display apparatus that can permit access to an application through facial authentication. A programmable display apparatus controls access to the application. The programmable display apparatus stores feature data of a face of a user. The programmable display apparatus performs facial authentication of a user based on image data of a user obtained through image capture and on the feature data. The programmable display apparatus permits a user to access the application if the user has been authenticated.
Claims20
A programmable display apparatus for controlling access to an application, comprising:
- a storage unit configured to store feature data of a face of a user;
- an authentication unit configured to perform first facial authentication of a user based on first image data of the user and on the feature data, the first image data being obtained through image capture;
- and
- an access control unit configured to permit a user to access the application if the user has been authenticated.
A control method for controlling access to an application that runs on a programmable display apparatus, comprising:
- a step of storing feature data indicating a feature of a face of a user;
- a step of receiving first image data of a user, the first image data being obtained through image capture;
- a step of performing first facial authentication of a user based on the first image data and on the feature data;
- and
- a step of permitting a user to access the application if the user has been authenticated through the facial authentication.
A program for controlling access to an application that runs on a programmable display apparatus, the program causing a processor of the programmable display apparatus to execute:
- a step of performing facial authentication based on image data of a user obtained through image capture and on feature data indicating a feature of a face of a user;
- and
- a step of permitting a user to access the application if the user has been authenticated.
