Abstract
A device for treating a lumen may include a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a joint reversibly coupling the proximal portion and the distal portion. The joint may include a plurality of filaments and pores between the filaments being engaged with a wire and with the tubular element. The joint may include a proximal part of the distal portion mechanically forced into a socket of the proximal portion. The joint may include a plurality of ridges of the proximal portion mechanically forced into a plurality of grooves of the distal portion.

A device for treating a lumen, the device comprising:
- a delivery device;
- an implantable distal portion;
- and
- a joint reversibly coupling the delivery device and the distal portion,
- wherein the delivery device comprises a hypotube having a distal end comprising a socket;
- wherein the distal portion comprises a plurality of filaments, at least one filament of the plurality of filaments comprising shape memory material, a proximal part of the distal portion including the at least one filament, the proximal part having a first shape at a first temperature and a second shape at a second temperature different than the first temperature, the second shape being a straightened form of the first shape, and
- wherein the joint comprises the proximal part of the distal portion mechanically forced into the socket.

A device for treating a lumen, the device comprising:
- a proximal portion;
- an implantable distal portion;
- and
- a joint reversibly coupling the proximal portion and the distal portion,
- wherein the proximal portion comprises a tubular member having a distal end comprising a socket, wherein the tubular member comprises a lumen extending from a proximal end of the tubular member to the distal end of the tubular member, wherein the distal portion comprises a lumen extending from a distal end of the distal portion to a proximal part of the distal portion, and wherein the lumen of the tubular member and the lumen of the distal portion are in fluid communication;
- wherein the distal portion comprises a plurality of filaments, at least one filament of the plurality of filaments comprising shape memory material, the proximal part of the distal portion including the at least one filament, the proximal part having a first shape at a first temperature and a second shape at a second temperature different than the first temperature, the second shape being a straightened form of the first shape, and
- wherein the joint comprises the proximal part of the distal portion mechanically forced into the socket.
A device for treating a lumen, the device comprising:
- a proximal portion;
- an implantable distal portion;
- and
- a joint reversibly coupling the proximal portion and the distal portion,
- wherein the proximal portion comprises a tubular member having a distal end comprising a socket;
- wherein the distal portion comprises a plurality of filaments, at least one filament of the plurality of filaments comprising shape memory material, a proximal part of the distal portion including the at least one filament, the proximal part having a first shape at a first temperature and a second shape at a second temperature different than the first temperature, the second shape being a straightened form of the first shape, wherein the proximal part comprises a third shape at a third temperature different from the first temperature and the second temperature, the third shape being further mechanically forced into the socket, and
- wherein the joint comprises the proximal part of the distal portion mechanically forced into the socket.
