Abstract
A camera housing comprises a four-sided frame. A first side of the four-sided frame includes a first segment, a second segment, and a latch mechanism with a first latch component and a second latch component. The first latch component and the second latch component are pivotally coupled such that in a closed position, the frame securely encloses a camera and in an open position, the first segment and the second segment are separable.
Claims21
A camera housing comprising:
- a frame configured to secure a camera along an outside perimeter of the camera, the frame including a first frame segment and a second frame segment;
- a first latch portion coupled to the first frame segment;
- and
- a second latch portion coupled to the second frame segment and pivotally coupled to the first latch portion;
- wherein the first frame segment and the second frame segment are spatially separable when the first latch portion and the second latch portion are in an open configuration, and wherein the first frame segment abuts the second frame segment when the first latch portion and the second latch portion are in a closed configuration.

A camera housing comprising:
- a frame configured to secure a camera within the frame, the frame comprising a plurality of frame sides;
- and
- a latch comprising:
- a first latch component coupled to a first frame side;
- and
- a second latch component coupled to a second frame side;
- the first latch component and the second latch component coupled such that the first frame side and the second frame side are spatially separable when the latch is in a first configuration and such that the first frame side and the second frame side securely abut when the latch is in a second configuration.
4 more elements
A camera housing comprising:
- a frame configured to secure a camera within the frame around a plurality of camera surfaces;
- a first latch mechanism, wherein a first portion of the frame and a second portion of the frame are securely adjacent when the first latch mechanism is in a closed position, and wherein the first portion of the frame and the second portion of the frame are spatially separable when the first latch mechanism is in an open position;
- and
- a second latch mechanism, the second latch mechanism configured to fold into a reciprocal indentation within the frame in a first configuration and configured to protrude from the frame in a second configuration, the second latch mechanism configured to secure at least one camera surface not included in the plurality of camera surfaces in the second configuration.
