Abstract
A method of processing a medical image signal includes estimating first time courses and first spatial patterns for a group of objects from first brain function data for the group, and estimating second time courses and second spatial patterns for a target object from second brain function data obtained from the target object by using the first time courses and the first spatial patterns.
Claims23
A method of processing a medical image signal, the method comprising:
- estimating first time courses and first spatial patterns for a group of objects from first brain function data for the group;
- and
- estimating second time courses and second spatial patterns for a target object from second brain function data obtained from the target object by using the first time courses and the first spatial patterns.
An apparatus for processing a medical image signal, the apparatus comprising:
- a group-level data analysis processor configured to estimate first time courses and first spatial patterns for a group of objects from first brain function data for the group;
- and
- an individual-level data analysis processor configured to estimate second time courses and second spatial patterns for a target object from second brain function data obtained from the target object by using the first time courses and the first spatial patterns.
An apparatus for processing a medical image signal comprising:
- a controller configured to estimate individual-level time courses and corresponding individual-level spatial patterns from group-level function data of a target object,
- wherein the controller iteratively estimates the individual-level time courses and the individual-level spatial patterns from individual-level function data of the target object using previously estimated time courses and spatial patterns for the target object until the estimated spatial patterns converge within a threshold.
