Imaging device, imaging method and non-transitory storage medium in which imaging program is stored

An imaging method comprising:

• imaging a subject by an imaging section to obtain image data;
• detecting a region of a main subject in the image data;
• determining a color of the region of the main subject;
• setting a color of a region that becomes a background of the region of the main subject;
• setting an exposure setting value in accordance with the color of the region that becomes the background;
• and
• controlling main imaging by the imaging section in accordance with the exposure setting value.

A non-transitory storage medium in which an imaging program is stored, the imaging program allowing a computer to execute:

• imaging a subject by an imaging section to obtain image data;
• detecting a region of a main subject in the image data;
• determining a color of the region of the main subject;
• setting a color of a region that becomes a background of the region of the main subject;
• setting an exposure setting value in accordance with the color of the region that becomes the background;
• and
• controlling main imaging by the imaging section in accordance with the exposure setting value.
