Method of driving a display panel and display device performing the same

A display device, comprising:

• a display panel comprising a plurality of pixels, and first and second gate lines, each of the pixels comprising i) a pixel electrode, ii) a first transistor connected to the first gate line and the pixel electrode, and iii) a second transistor connected to the second gate line and the pixel electrode;
• a first gate driver configured to alternately apply a gate signal and a reverse bias signal to the first gate line;
• and
• a second gate driver configured to alternately apply to the second gate line i) the gate signal when the reverse bias signal is applied to the first gate line and ii) the reverse bias signal when the gate signal is applied to the first gate line.

A display device, comprising:

• a display panel comprising a plurality of pixels and a plurality of gate lines electrically connected to the pixels, wherein the gate lines are divided into even and odd gate lines;
• a first gate driver configured to apply to the odd gate lines i) a gate signal during a first predetermined period and ii) a reverse bias signal during a second predetermined period;
• and
• a second gate driver configured to apply to the even gate lines with i) a gate signal during the second predetermined period and ii) the reverse bias signal during the first predetermined period.
