Antenna Apparatus, Antenna System, and Antenna Electrical Tilting Method

An antenna apparatus, configured to be used in conjunction with a remote control unit (RCU) external to the antenna apparatus, the antenna apparatus comprising:

• a memory, configured to store antenna information of an antenna controlled by the antenna apparatus and configuration data corresponding to the antenna, wherein the antenna information comprises the antenna serial number and the antenna model of the antenna, wherein the antenna information and the configuration data are configured to be read by the RCU when the antenna apparatus is communicatively connected with the RCU;
• and
• a phase shifter, configured to adjust an electrical down-tilt angle of the antenna in accordance with the configuration data corresponding to the antenna.

An antenna electrical tilting method, comprising:

• providing, by an antenna apparatus, antenna information of an antenna controlled by the antenna apparatus and configuration data corresponding to the antenna to a remote control unit (RCU) external to the antenna apparatus for reading the antenna information and the configuration data when the antenna apparatus is communicatively connected with the RCU, wherein the antenna information of the antenna and the configuration data corresponding to the antenna are stored in a memory inside the antenna apparatus, the antenna information comprises the antenna serial number and the antenna model of the antenna;
• and
• adjusting, by the antenna apparatus, an electrical down-tilt angle of the antenna in accordance with the configuration data corresponding to the antenna.

An antenna system, comprising:

• an antenna apparatus configured to store antenna information of an antenna controlled by the antenna apparatus and configuration data corresponding to the antenna, wherein the antenna information comprises the antenna serial number and the antenna model of the antenna;
• and
• a remote control unit (RCU) external to the antenna apparatus, configured to read the antenna information and the configuration data from the antenna apparatus when the antenna apparatus is communicatively connected with the RCU, and wherein the RCU is configured to control the antenna apparatus to adjust an electrical down-tilt angle of the antenna in accordance with the configuration data corresponding to the antenna.
