The invention relates to a housing for receiving electrotechnical components, which housing comprises a first and at least one further housing shell, wherein the first housing shell has a first housing web that forms at least one first sealing face and the further housing shell has a further housing web that forms at least one further sealing face. The first housing web and the further housing web are part of an inner wall of a double-walled casing portion of the housing, wherein at least one resilient sealing element for sealing a transition portion is formed between the housing shells. In the assembled state of the housing shells, the first housing web and the further housing web are aligned one above the other and substantially flush and the longitudinal edges thereof facing each other are arranged at a distance apart from each other. A carrier element formed, which carrier element forms a bridging element between the housing webs and presses the at least one sealing element (i) in the transverse direction to an assembly direction—arrow—of the housing shells or (ii) in the assembly direction—arrow—of the housing shells against at least in each case one sealing face on the first and on the further housing web.

A housing (7) for receiving electrotechnical components, which housing (7) comprises a first and at least one further housing shell (22, 23) for forming a receiving space (21) for electrotechnical components, wherein the first housing shell (22) comprises a first housing web (35), which forms at least one first sealing face (32), and the further housing shell (23) comprises a further housing web (36), which forms at least one further sealing face (33), wherein the first housing web (35) and the further housing web (36) are part of an inner wall (40) of a double-walled casing portion (26) of the housing (7), which inner wall (40) is formed at a distance (39a) from an outer wall (41) of the double-walled casing portion (26) and wherein at least one band or ring-like, elastic sealing element (30, 30′) is designed for sealing a transitional portion (29) between the housing shells (22, 23), and the first housing web (35) and the further housing web (36) of the inner wall (40) in the assembled state of the housing shells (22, 23) are aligned above one another and flush and their facing longitudinal edges (37, 38) are arranged at a distance (39) from one another, wherein a carrier element (31) made from a comparatively dimensionally stable hard plastic for the at least one sealing element (30, 30′) made from an elastomer material is formed, which carrier element (31) forms a bridging element (31a) between the housing webs (35, 36), and which carrier element (31) pushes the at least one sealing element (30, 30′):
