Indoor unit of air conditioner and method of connecting refrigerant pipe thereof

A method of connecting a refrigerant pipe of an indoor unit of an air conditioner, the method comprising:

• fixing an indoor unit onto a wall surface;
• separating a lower cover from a frame;
• opening a lower portion of the frame using a holder plate by raising a lower end of the indoor unit;
• connecting a refrigerant pipe and a connection pipe;
• mounting the holder plate on a hanger plate;
• and
• mounting the lower cover on a lower portion of the indoor unit.

An air conditioner, comprising:

• an outdoor unit;
• an indoor unit mounted flush to a wall;
• a connection pipe to connect the outdoor unit and the indoor unit,
• wherein the indoor unit comprises
• a frame;
• a heat exchanger mounted on the frame;
• a refrigerant pipe mounted within the frame;
• a hanger plate mounted on a rear surface of the frame and configured to fix the frame flush to the wall surface;
• and
• a holder plate mounted on a lower portion of the frame to fix the frame and the hanger plate,
• wherein an end of the refrigerant pipe is placed in a space formed by the frame, the holder plate and the hanger plate, the holder plate being moveable to provide access to the refrigerant pipe by a user.
