Manufacturing apparatus and method of mask assembly

A method of manufacturing a mask assembly, comprising:

• applying a tensile force to a mask, wherein the tensile force is applied to the mask by a plurality of mask tensile units;
• applying a counterforce to the mask frame, wherein the counterforce is applied in an opposite direction to the direction of the tensile force, and the counterforce is applied to an upper portion of a side of the mask frame by a plurality of counterforce application units;
• and
• attaching the mask to the mask frame,

A manufacturing apparatus for a mask assembly, comprising:

• a mask positioned on a mask frame;
• a plurality of mask tensile units configured to apply a tensile force to the mask in a first direction;
• a plurality of counterforce application units configured to apply a counterforce to the mask frame, wherein the counterforce is applied in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction;
• and
• an application unit position controller coupled to each of the plurality of counterforce application units, wherein the application unit position controller includes a horizontal position controller configured to control a horizontal position of the plurality of counterforce application units and a vertical position controller configured to control a vertical position of the plurality of counterforce application units.
