- a cross member section;
- a first strap spanning between a dorsal section and a chest section;
- at least one buckle connecting the first strap around the animal;
- a t-shaped upper section comprising at least two shoulder pads spanning between the upper section and the cross member section;
- a first handle adapted to receive the hand of a human and connected to the upper section and oriented along a dorsal line of the animal;
- a hip harness portion comprising:
- a padded sling;
- at least two adjustable straps each having a first end and a second end, the first end being connected to a lower section of the padded sling and the second end being connected to an upper section of the padded sling;
- a second handle adapted to receive the hand of a human and connected to the upper section of the padded sling and oriented substantially perpendicular to the dorsal line of the animal;
- and
- a padded strap provided substantially perpendicular to and securing said at least two adjustable straps, wherein said padded strap retains said at least two adjustable straps in a substantially fixed relative position.
