Support Arrangement For Soft Sided Aquarium

An aquarium comprising:

• a flexible main body having a flexible sidewall forming an open top at an upper end of the flexible main body and a flexible bottom wall interconnected with and liquid sealed with respect to a bottom portion of flexible sidewall together defining a flexible bag-like liquid holding container;
• and
• a support arrangement receiving the flexible main body.

A method of assembling an aquarium, the method comprising:

• connecting a flexible side wall to a flexible bottom wall together forming a flexible bag-like liquid holding container, the flexible side wall defining an upper edge;
• and
• inserting the upper edge of the flexible side wall into a support so that a force applied to a discrete location to the side wall is distributed by the support arrangement across a relatively larger segment of the side wall than at the discrete location so as to prevent localized buckling of the side wall and maintaining liquid in the aquarium.

An aquarium comprising:

• a support arrangement supporting a lower portion of a flexible side wall characterized in that the flexible side wall is self supporting when the aquarium is empty such that the flexible side wall maintains the aquarium in an extended in-use configuration in which the flexible side wall extends generally perpendicularly upwards relative to the lower support.
