Abstract
A ceramic filter includes a porous ceramic body which is a sintered body of ceramic particles, and a coating portion formed on a surface of each ceramic particle to support the catalyst. The porous ceramic body has a specific surface area equal to or greater than 0.5 m2/cc, measured by a mercury porosimeter, and an amount of the coating portion is equal to or greater than 15 g/l.

A ceramic filter comprising:
- a porous ceramic body which is a sintered body of ceramic particles;
- and
- a coating portion formed on a surface of each of the ceramic particles to support a catalyst,
- wherein the porous ceramic body has a specific surface area equal to or greater than 0.5 m2/cc, measured by a mercury porosimeter, and an amount of the coating portion is equal to or greater than 15 g/l.
