Method and device for reprocessing wet waste materials containing organic components

A method for reprocessing wet waste materials containing organic components comprising sludges in a cement clinker production plant, said method comprising:

• preheating raw meal in a preheater and generating preheater waste heat, wherein in said preheating the raw material is introduced and fed through the preheater in a countercurrent to flow to hot exhaust gases from a clinker furnace that are introduced in the preheater, calcining in a calciner fired with alternative fuels, drying the wet waste materials in a drying unit using a hot gas produced from the preheater waste heat, discharging the dried waste materials and the drier exhaust gases from the drying unit, feeding the drier exhaust gases into the calciner, drawing off a partial quantity of the hot gas before the drying unit and cooling the drawn off hot gas in a heat exchanger with the drier exhaust gases, and, forwarding the cooled hot gas to the drying unit as sealing gas.
