Method and Apparatus for Producing Full Synchronization of a Digital File with a Live Event

A method and apparatus for syncing a digital video file with a live musical performance, comprising:

• selecting a digital video file previously set to music,
• entering data about a musical score of the music to which digital video file was previously set concerning the time signature of the music and the measures thereof into a syncing software application so that there exists a tempo accurate version of the score,
• syncing the prerecorded digital video file with the tempo accurate version, the syncing software application being downloaded and run on a main computing device and including a video player for playing the digital video file for display thereof on a screen for viewing by an audience,
• connecting the main computing device to a controller, the controller also being a computing device and having a video display for displaying a graphical user interface generated by the syncing software application, the graphical user interface having a video display section for displaying the digital video file as it is being displayed to the audience and a tempo adjustment window for displaying the speed at which the video is being played, and the syncing software permitting adjusting by a user through the controller of said video play speed, and
• the syncing software further generating on the graphical user interface along with the video display section and the tempo adjustment window a visual alignment window indicating the beat rate of the musical score based on the tempo accurate version of the musical score as synced with the prerecorded digital video file so that the user can adjust the play speed of the video based on the users hearing of the live musical performance and on the indicated beat rate of the synced tempo accurate musical score and the prerecorded digital video file.
