A method of using a communication device, the communication device being used at a one hub to share information by transmitting and receiving image data and sound data among a plurality of hubs via a communication network, the method comprising:

• determining whether a receiving device that is connected to the communication device and that supports a predetermined standard is any one of a dedicated receiving device that is previously specified and that has an image recording/sound recording function or a receiving device that does not have an image recording/sound recording function;
• and
• when a determination result is positive at the determining, converting at least one selected form a group consisting of image data and sound data from the one hub and image data and sound data transmitted from a different hub other than the one hub, into a digital signal in accordance with the predetermined standard so as to transmit the digital signal from the communication device to the receiving device.

A computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer-readable medium having computer readable program codes used in a communication device that is used at a one hub to share information by transmitting and receiving image data and sound data among a plurality of hubs via a communication network, the program codes when executed causing the communication device to execute:

• determining whether a receiving device that is connected to the communication device and that supports a predetermined standard is any one of a dedicated receiving device that is previously specified and that has an image recording/sound recording function or a receiving device that does not have an image recording/sound recording function;
• and
• when a determination result is positive at the determining, converting, at least one selected form a group consisting of image data and sound data from the hub and image data and sound data transmitted from a different hub that is different from the hub, into a digital signal in accordance with the predetermined standard so as to transmit the digital signal to the receiving device.
