Abstract
A system for treatment target tissue comprises an ablation device and an energy delivery unit. The ablation device comprises an elongate tube with an expandable treatment element. The system delivers a thermal dose of energy to treat the target tissue. Methods of treating target tissue are also provided.
Claims1
A system for treating target tissue, the system comprising:
- an ablation device comprising:
- an elongate tube with a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a lumen extending from the proximal portion to the distal portion;
- and
- an expandable treatment element mounted to the elongate tube and in fluid communication with the lumen;
- and
- an energy delivery unit constructed and arranged to deliver energy to the expandable treatment element;
- wherein the system is constructed and arranged to deliver a thermal dose of energy to the target tissue.
