Abstract
Provided is a molding material which is well-balanced and superior in strength, toughness, and elastic modulus and has high molding characteristics. The molding material includes: a phenolic resin; a carbon fiber; and one or more elastomers selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl butyral, vinyl acetate, and acrylonitrile butadiene rubber.

A molding material comprising:
- a phenolic resin;
- a carbon fiber;
- and
- one or more elastomers selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl butyral, vinyl acetate, and acrylonitrile butadiene rubber.
