Detachable apparatus for securing a transmitting device for use with a hunting arrow for tracking game

A tracking apparatus for detaching and securing a transmitting device carried by a projectile onto a target, the tracking apparatus comprising:

• a transmitting device configured to transmit a signal to a receiving device;
• a switch integrated into the transmitting device and selected from the group consisting of a sliding switch, an automatic switch, a switch comprising an accelerometer, an inertia motion sensing switch, and combinations thereof;
• a stopping component configured to detach the tracking apparatus from the projectile after the projectile collides with the target;
• and
• a securing component configured to secure the tracking apparatus to the target.

A detachable nock for detaching and securing a transmitting device carried by an projectile onto a target, the detachable nock comprising:

• an opening for receiving a bowstring situated at the rear of the detachable nock;
• a transmitting device configured to transmit a signal to a receiving device;
• a switch integrated into the transmitting device and selected from the group consisting of a sliding switch, an automatic switch, a switch comprising an accelerometer, an inertia motion sensing switch, and combinations thereof;
• a stopping component configured to detach the nock from the projectile after the projectile collides with the target;
• and
• a securing component configured to secure the nock to the target.
