Claims12
A method of expanding hematopoietic stem or progenitor cells, the method comprising:
- isolating hematopoietic stem or progenitor cells from a subject, and
- contacting the hematopoietic stem cells with a morpholino oligonucleotide that inhibits the expression of a VentX polypeptide, whereby expansion of the hematopoietic stem or progenitor cells is increased.
A method of treating primary or secondary bone marrow failure syndrome in a subject, the method comprising:
- isolating hematopoietic stem or progenitor cells from a subject,
- contacting the hematopoietic stem or progenitor cells with a morpholino oligonucleotide that inhibits the expression of a VentX polypeptide, whereby expansion of the hematopoietic stem or progenitor cells is increased, and
- administering to a subject having primary or secondary bone marrow failure syndrome an effective amount of the hematopoietic stem or progenitor cells having undergone expansion.
A method of expanding hematopoietic stem or progenitor cells in a subject, the method comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a morpholino oligonucleotide that inhibits the expression of a VentX polypeptide, whereby expansion of the hematopoietic stem or progenitor cells in the subject is increased.
A method of treating primary or secondary bone marrow failure syndrome in a subject, the method comprising administering to the subject in need thereof a morpholino oligonucleotide that inhibits the expression of a VentX polypeptide, whereby expansion of the hematopoietic stem or progenitor cells in the subject is increased.
