A method for treating or preventing a periodontal disease in a subject in need thereof comprising administering to the subject a pharmaceutical composition comprising tauroursodeoxycholic acid as an active ingredient, the periodontal disease being selected from the group consisting of gingivitis, periodontitis and dental caries.
A method for improving oral hygiene in a subject in need thereof comprising administering to the subject a hygienic composition comprising tauroursodeoxycholic acid as an active ingredient.
