Abstract
One or more embodiments provide a method implemented in a user equipment (UE) used in a wireless communications system. The method includes transmitting an indication to a base station that the UE is capable of transmitting on a single uplink carrier frequency and downlink carrier aggregation. The method also includes receiving an uplink carrier frequency switching pattern from the base station. The method also includes switching uplink carrier frequencies based on the uplink carrier frequency switching pattern.
Claims20
A method implemented in a user equipment (UE) used in a wireless communications system, comprising:
- transmitting an indication to a base station that the UE is capable of transmitting on a single uplink carrier frequency and downlink carrier aggregation;
- receiving an uplink carrier frequency switching pattern from the base station;
- switching uplink carrier frequencies based on the uplink carrier frequency switching pattern.
A method implemented in a base station used in a wireless communications system, comprising:
- receiving an indication that a user equipment (UE) is capable of transmitting on a single uplink carrier frequency and downlink carrier aggregation;
- and
- transmitting an uplink carrier frequency switching pattern from the base station,
- wherein the UE switches uplink carrier frequencies based on the uplink carrier frequency switching pattern.
A user equipment (UE) used in a wireless communications system, comprising,
- a transceiver configured to transmit an indication to a base station that the UE is capable of transmitting on a single uplink carrier frequency and downlink carrier aggregation and receive an uplink carrier frequency switching pattern from the base station;
- a controller configured to switch uplink carrier frequencies based on the uplink carrier frequency switching pattern.
A base station used in a wireless communications system, comprising:
- a transceiver configured to receive an indication that a user equipment (UE) is capable of transmitting on a single uplink carrier frequency and downlink carrier aggregation and transmit an uplink carrier frequency switching pattern from the base station,
- wherein the UE switches uplink carrier frequencies based on the uplink carrier frequency switching pattern.
