Abstract
Provided is a display device that includes a display panel including a front substrate and a back substrate. A frame may be provided behind the display panel and a supporting film may be provided between the display panel and the frame. The supporting film may be connected to a rear surface of the display panel and to the frame. An optical layer may be provided between the supporting film and the frame. The supporting film may extend from the display panel to the frame such that the supporting film is provided a prescribed distance from an edge of the optical layer in a first direction parallel to a front surface of the display panel.

A display device comprising:
- a display panel including a front substrate and a back substrate;
- a frame provided behind the display panel;
- a supporting film provided between the display panel and the frame, the supporting film being connected to a rear surface of the display panel and to the frame;
- and
- an optical layer provided between the supporting film and the frame,
- wherein the supporting film extends from the display panel to the frame such that the supporting film is provided a prescribed distance from an edge of the optical layer in a first direction parallel to a front surface of the display panel.
