Abstract
A geospatially accurate 3D model of a building or collection of buildings is used to communicate any type of geo-specific information by way of uniquely recognizable visual or non-visual highlighting such as color or texture coded building visualizations on rooftops or other objects within the 3D model.
Claims20
A method for conveying information within a three dimensional (3D) map viewable space, the method comprising:
- receiving an image included in the 3D map viewable space and one or more geo-location tags of visible objects within the image;
- determining information of interest to a viewer of the 3D map;
- obtaining a data set associated with both the determined information of interest and geo-location tags within the image;
- mapping the obtained data set to one or more objects within the 3D map viewable space;
- and
- highlighting at least one portion of the one or more mapped objects with a uniquely recognizable highlight to reflect the mapped obtained data set.

- determining information of interest to a viewer of the 3D map;
- obtaining a data set associated with both the determined information of interest and geo-location tags within the image;
- mapping the obtained data set to rooftops of one or more objects within the 3D map viewable space;
- and
- highlighting the rooftops of the one or more objects with a uniquely recognizable highlight to reflect the mapped obtained data set.

A system for conveying information within a 3D map viewable space, the system comprising:
- one or more computing modules with non-transitory memory and configured to:
- receive an image included in the 3D map viewable space and one or more geo-location tags of visible building objects within the image;
- determine information of interest to a viewer of the 3D map;
- obtain a data set associated with both the determined information of interest and the one or more geo-location tags of visible building objects within the image;
- map the obtained data set to the one or more building objects within the 3D map viewable space;
- and
- highlight the one or more mapped building objects with a uniquely recognizable highlight to reflect the mapped obtained data set.
