Abstract
Methods of operating a display driver integrated circuit (IC) are provided. A method of operating a display driver IC may include generating a first clock signal, and calculating a frequency of the first clock signal using a second clock signal. Moreover, the method may include generating an adjustment signal using the frequency of the first clock signal and a target frequency, and adjusting the frequency of the first clock signal using the adjustment signal. Related display driver ICs and portable electronic devices are also provided.
Claims21
A display driver integrated circuit (IC) comprising:
- an oscillator configured to generate a first clock signal;
- and
- a frequency compensation circuit configured to calculate a frequency of the first clock signal using a second clock signal that is input from outside of the display driver IC, and to generate an adjustment signal using the calculated frequency and a target frequency,
- wherein the oscillator is configured to adjust the frequency of the first clock signal using the adjustment signal.
A portable electronic device comprising:
- a display driver integrated circuit (IC);
- and
- an application processor configured to control an operation of the display driver IC,
- wherein the display driver IC comprises:
- an oscillator configured to generate a first clock signal;
- and
- a frequency compensation circuit configured to calculate a frequency of the first clock signal using a second clock signal output from the application processor and to generate an adjustment signal using the calculated frequency and a target frequency,
- wherein the oscillator is configured to adjust the frequency of the first clock signal using the adjustment signal.
A method of operating a display driver integrated circuit (IC), the method comprising:
- generating a first clock signal;
- receiving a second clock signal from outside of the display driver IC;
- calculating a first frequency of the first clock signal using the second clock signal;
- generating an adjustment signal using the first frequency of the first clock signal and a target frequency;
- and
- adjusting the first frequency of the first clock signal to a second frequency using the adjustment signal.
