Abstract
A piezoelectric component includes a main body, which is surrounded at least in part by an enclosure for protecting the main body. The enclosure includes a structured foil. A method for producing a component of this type is also specified, in which a main body of the component and a structured foil are provided. The structured foil is then wound around the main body.

A piezoelectric component comprising:
- an enclosure comprising a structured foil;
- and
- a main body surrounded at least in part by the enclosure in order to protect the main body.
A method for producing a piezoelectric component, the method comprising:
- providing a main body of a component;
- providing a structured foil;
- and
- winding the structured foil around the main body to form an enclosure that surrounds at least a part of the main body to protect the main body.
