Abstract
A method of operating an electronic device includes sensing a gesture on a certain region of a touch screen; determining an edit region corresponding to the gesture; and editing at least one of a first region input in a handwriting type input mode and a region between the first region and a second region in the determined edit region.

A method of operating an electronic device, the method comprising:
- sensing a gesture on a certain region of a touch screen;
- determining an edit region corresponding to the sensed gesture;
- and
- editing at least one of a first region input in a handwriting type input mode or a region between the first region and a second region in the edit region.

An electronic device comprising:
- a touch screen configured to sense a gesture;
- and
- a processor operably connected to the touch screen, wherein the processor is configured to determine an edit region corresponding to the gesture, instruct to edit the determined edit region, and edit at least one of a first region input in a handwriting type input mode or a region between the first region and a second region in the edit region.
An electronic device comprising:
- a touch screen configured to sense multiple touches;
- and
- a processor operably connected to the touch screen, wherein the processor is configured to enter a handwriting type input mode, determine an edit region corresponding to the multiple touches, and instruct to edit the edit region or data in the edit region according to a dragged direction in response to the multiple touches being dragged.
An electronic device comprising:
- a touch screen configured to sense a reference line;
- and
- a processor operably connected to the touch screen, wherein the processor is configured to enter a handwriting type input mode, determine an edit region corresponding to the reference line, and instruct to edit the edit region or data in the edit region according to a dragged direction in response to the reference line being dragged.
