Multi-payer payment system

A method for providing multi-payer payments, comprising:

• detecting, using a near field communication device, at least one mobile device;
• determining that at least one of a plurality of secondary payers that is associated with a social network of a primary payer is also associated with the at least one detected mobile device;
• determining a first current location, retrieving a first payee associated with the first current location, and retrieving a preferred payment account for each secondary payer associated with a detected mobile device;
• providing a payment application that allows payments to be made to the first payee from the primary payer via a first primary payer preferred payment account and from each secondary payer associated with a detected mobile device via a respective secondary payer preferred payment account.

A non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising a plurality of machine-readable instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, are adapted to cause the one or more processors to perform a method comprising:

• detecting, using a near field communication device, at least one mobile device;
• determining that at least one of a plurality of secondary payers that is associated with a social network of a primary payer is also associated with the at least one detected mobile device;
• determining a first current location, retrieving a first payee associated with the first current location, and retrieving a preferred payment account for each secondary payer associated with a detected mobile device;
• providing a payment application that allows payments to be made to the first payee from the primary payer via a first primary payer preferred payment account and from each secondary payer associated with a detected mobile device via a respective secondary payer preferred payment account.
