Abstract
An apparatus and method are disclosed for managing a learning marketplace in a modular learning system. The modular learning system maintains a plurality of listing items in a learning application marketplace. Learning applications, each associated with a price range, are stored in the modular learning system. After receiving a request to list a learning application for a specified price in the learning application marketplace, the modular learning system determines whether the specified price falls within the price range of the learning application and, if so, generates a listing item for the learning application. The listing item is added to the learning application marketplace.
Claims15
A computer-implemented method for managing a learning marketplace in a modular learning system comprising:
- maintaining a learning application marketplace including a plurality of listing items, each listing item displayed on a marketplace interface;
- maintaining a learning application database including a plurality of learning applications, each learning application associated with metadata describing a price range;
- receiving a listing request specifying the learning application in the plurality of learning applications and a price;
- comparing the price with the price range associated with the learning application
- creating a listing item associated with the learning application;
- and
- displaying the listing item associated with the learning application on the marketplace interface.
An apparatus for managing a learning marketplace in a modular learning system comprising:
- a processor configured to execute instructions stored on a computer-readable storage medium;
- a non-volatile memory comprises:
- instructions for execution on the processor, to perform steps comprising:
- maintaining a learning application marketplace including a plurality of listing items, each listing item displayed on a marketplace interface;
- maintaining a learning application database including a plurality of learning applications, each learning application associated with metadata describing a price range;
- receiving a listing request specifying the learning application in the plurality of learning applications and a price;
- comparing the price with the price range associated with the learning application creating a listing item associated with the learning application;
- and displaying the listing item associated with the learning application on the marketplace interface.
A computer-readable storage medium storing computer program instructions executable by a processor for performing a method for managing a learning marketplace in a modular learning system, the method comprising:
- maintaining a learning application marketplace including a plurality of listing items, each listing item displayed on a marketplace interface;
- maintaining a learning application database including a plurality of learning applications, each learning application associated with metadata describing a price range;
- receiving a listing request specifying the learning application in the plurality of learning applications and a price;
- comparing the price with the price range associated with the learning application
- creating a listing item associated with the learning application;
- and
- displaying the listing item associated with the learning application on the marketplace interface.
