Abstract
Provided herein are compositions including diastereomers in substantially diastereomerically pure form and enantiomers in substantially enantiomerically pure form, and processes for preparing them and converting them to metyrosine.
Claims17
An isolated stereoisomer of formula X:
- or an acid addition salt thereof;
- wherein:
- R1 is C1-C4 alkyl;
- R4 is —CN or —CONH2
- R5 is hydrogen or
- R6 is Me or —CONH2 provided that if R5 is Me, then R4 is —CONH2;
- and
- wherein
- the stereoisomer of Formula X is at least about 70% diastereomerically pure after isolation, provided that if R5 is H, then the stereoisomer of Formula X is at least about 50% enantiomerically pure after isolation.
