Abstract
Treatment of pain and related conditions with oral dosage forms of zoledronic acid is described herein.

A method of treating pain, comprising administering, to a mammal in need thereof, a molecular complex comprising zoledronic acid and lysine, wherein the molecular complex is a solid.
The method of claim 7, wherein the molecular complex is in a pharmaceutical composition that further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.
A method of treating pain, comprising administering, to a mammal in need thereof, a molecular complex comprising zoledronic acid or a salt thereof and lysine, wherein the molecular complex is a solid and the bioavailability of the zoledronic acid or salt thereof from the molecular complex is greater than the bioavailability of the zoledronic acid or salt thereof without lysine.
