Abstract
A method and system for conducting a challenge event. The challenge event is communicated to at least two participants in a form of an event specification. A proposal for a solution that meets the specification is received from each participant. Only one participant is chosen from the at least two participants, based on the proposal previously received from each participant. The solution is received in a form of a document or computer code from the chosen only one participant.
Claims18
A method for conducting a challenge event, said method comprising:
- communicating, by a computer processor to a plurality of participants, the challenge event in a form of an event specification;
- said processor receiving from each participant a proposal for a solution that meets the specification;
- said processor choosing only one participant from the plurality of participants, said choosing based on the proposal previously received from each participant;
- and
- said processor receiving the solution in a form of a document or computer code from the previously chosen only one participant.
A computer program product, comprising a computer readable hardware storage device having computer readable program code stored therein, said program code containing instructions which, upon being executed by a processor of a computer system, implement a method for conducting a challenge event, said method comprising:
- communicating, by the processor to a plurality of participants, the challenge event in a form of an event specification;
- said processor receiving from each participant a proposal for a solution that meets the specification;
- said processor choosing only one participant from the plurality of participants, said choosing based on the proposal previously received from each participant;
- and
- said processor receiving the solution in a form of a document or computer code from the previously chosen only one participant.
A computer system comprising a processor, a memory coupled to the processor, and a computer readable storage device coupled to the processor, said storage device containing program code which, upon being executed by the processor via the memory, implements a method for conducting a challenge event, said method comprising:
- communicating, by the processor to a plurality of participants, the challenge event in a form of an event specification;
- said processor receiving from each participant a proposal for a solution that meets the specification;
- said processor choosing only one participant from the plurality of participants, said choosing based on the proposal previously received from each participant;
- and
- said processor receiving the solution in a form of a document or computer code from the previously chosen only one participant.
